Harvest Season

As September comes to an end, harvest is right around the corner. It’s been a challenging season. From the cool temperatures and rain of April and May to the lack of rain for the last three months, the vines have seen their fair amount of stress. Now its all about ripening. So to make that happen as the season nears its finish, we have dropped fruit to counter balance the effects of the draught. Yields are down, however quality has increased. Dropping fruit help intensify the flavour in the remaining grapes. Continued heat and sunlight are much needed to achieve the desired results. Fingers crossed!

Drink this summer in a glass, drink Ontario wine!

Cheers
